TL;DR

Do you want to customize the fields in your database? Maybe you want to add an extra column to indicate if you read the book or listend to it as an audiobook, or maybe you want to show less columns. Another case is if you want to use NotionReads in your mother tongue and translate the properties.

All of this is easily possible with custom database mapping. This guide will show you how you can do it:

Let’s take the following example: In my database, I want to add two extra fields: Description and Type. Description is a field that is now natively available from the NotionReads Search. Type is going to be a custom field with two options: Book and Audiobook. Of course you can customize any property as you like.

Important: Whenever you change your database you will need to save your new mapping!

Now, to map your changes to NotionReads, head to Settings and then click on Update Database Mapping or visit https://notionreads.com/mapping
